Christmas Open Hours 2024

Make sure you're up to date with our Christmas opening hours so that you know when to expect your deliveries this festive season!

Please be aware that during our closed period, there will not be staff available for Customer Support or Returns queries until our return in the New Year. If you've got a technical query or would like some recommendations, you can try checking with our Official Community Facebook Group as other customers are often very familiar with our equipment and/or issue you're experiencing and may be able to help!

Delivery Notices

Place your order before 3pm on the following dates to ensure your order arrives before Christmas:

International Orders Deadline* - Friday 13th December

Standard UK Delivery (2-4 working days) - Tuesday 17th December 

Next UK Working Day - Thursday 19th December

Please order before 3pm for Next-Day orders to leave us same day. If orders are placed after 3pm on the 19th, we will not be able to guarantee that our couriers will collect these in time. Please see our Delivery page for more information on courier timeframes.
*International orders will be dependant on location. Please contact our team for intl delivery estimates leading up to Christmas. 

 

T&Cs

  • We would recommend allowing at least 1-2 working days for next working day delivery to arrive in order to avoid disappointment as couriers will receive a large volume of packages during the festive period.
  • The above is a guide only, we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas, we can only guarantee dispatch from our warehouse to give it the best possible chance of arriving with you in time.
  • Orders placed while we are closed (including Christmas Sale orders) will be dispatched according to the delivery option selected when we re-open in January.
  • Next Day Delivery: *Orders must be placed before 3pm between Monday-Thursday to arrive "Next Day". Orders placed after 3pm will be dispatched the next day, and those placed on Fridays after 3pm or on Weekends will be dispatched on Monday.

Thursday 19th December - Open 9:30am - 4:30pm.

Friday 20th December - Open 9:30am - 12:30pm.

Saturday 21st December - Wednesday 1st January - CLOSED

Thursday 2nd January - Open 9:30am - 4:30pm.

 

Returns Information

Extended Festive Returns Period

Any purchases that arrive with you between 1st December 2025 - 1st January 2025 will be granted a two-week extension to the returns period provided on the product. This allows for any returns to be held over the New Year. Please submit your returns form as normal while we're closed to ensure this request is with our team in good time.

Standard items will receive 28 days + 2 weeks, and Pre-Loved and Clearance items (and other 14-day return items as specified in the listings) will receive 14 days + 2 weeks. Non-returnable items remain non-returnable. Items received after the extension period will not be accepted.

Returns Deliveries - Wednesday 18th December

If you have an open returns case, please ensure that returns are dispatched with an estimated delivery with us of by Wednesday 18th December.

Any order returns that will not reach us before this date must be held and only dispatched to us in the New Year for us to receive these when we re-open. The office and warehouse will not be open to receive returns deliveries between 20th Dec and Jan 1st. 

Please be aware that returns deliveries accepted in the weeks leading up to Christmas aren't guaranteed to be processed and refunded before Christmas, and these may be held and processed in the New Year.

Finance Department and Refunds

Finance Department Closes on Wednesday 19th December- Refunds not already issued by this date will be issued on our re-opening in January, and these orders will be subject to our 2-week return extension. We appreciate your patience during this time.

T&Cs

  • The returns department will be closed to accept packages after Wednesday 18th December. Returns already received will be processed and we aim to resolve these by the end of operations on the 19th December. Any refunds/return resolutions not received by then will be dealt with as a priority on our re-opening on the 2nd January. We are hoping to get through any backlog as quickly as possible. Please see our Returns page for our usual Returns Policy outside of holidays. Any chargeback or disputes opened as a result of Christmas delays will delay the refund process when we return. 
  • For any return requests outstanding by the 13th January, please get in touch at info@essentialphoto.co.uk with your order number and details.
