1. Type
The Godox KNOWLED P600Bi Hard is a high-powered, bi-colour square LED light panel with a colour temperature range of 2800–6500K; the Gemini 2x1 Hard, on the other hand, is released as an RGBWW panel with a broad spectrum of colours (2700K - 10000K).
In more detail, the P600Bi significantly produces white light with varying colour temperatures. For instance, warmer tones (2800K) may be preferred for creating a cosy and intimate atmosphere, while cooler tones (6500K) can mimic daylight for a more natural look. Furthermore, it offers consistency and even illumination, making it ideal for those who work on multiple projects.

The Gemini 2x1, in contrast, produces a full spectrum of colours, including red, green, blue, and warm white. With five chips included, the Gemini not only has a warm white chip but also a white chip. This means the Gemini 2x1 Hard panel is better at creating colour mixes to obtain white and more cooling than a regular RGB LED light.

2. Physical
Both two lights are constructed with durable aluminium material that can withstand the most demanding photography applications.
The Gemini 2x1 Hard is incredibly similar in design to the original 2x1, with only a few changes. Its new black colour distinguishes it from the previous model, ensuring easy identification. Despite its appearance change, the fixture still maintains its robust construction, and its IP20 rating makes it well-suited for the most demanding production environments. This fixture is available in either a regular yoke or a pole-operated yoke variant with dimensions of 63.4 x 32 x 17.6cm for a weight of 25.3 lbs (11.5kg), including the yoke and integrated power supply.

On the other hand, to ensure effective heat dissipation during prolonged usage and consistent performance, even when the light is utilised at maximum power, the Godox P600Bi uses aerospace-grade material, including a thermal pad. Its U-Type mounting brackets allow for easy setup and secure mounting, whether on a light stand or when connected to the Junior Offset Arm (2-light array) and Junior Multi-Header (4-light array). With an extendable 1.8 power cable, the Godox P600Bi provides ample length for operations at greater distances. Weighting approximately 10kg, it stands out as a lightweight alternative to traditional panel lights with similar outputs. Moreover, its compact size not only makes it more energy-efficient and time-saving but also enhances portability for swift setup and transport.

3. Max. Power
The Gemini 2x1 Hard LED panel draws 500W, which is 175W more than the original Gemini 2x1 Soft light panel. This upgrade in power consumption is likely to enhance the brightness and output capabilities of the light, providing users with a more powerful and versatile lighting solution. Despite the increase in power consumption, its power consumption is still lower than that of the Godox P600Bi, with maximum power at 700W. This feature is valuable for users who prioritise high power in their setups. Meanwhile, the P600Bi is perfect for professionals in various industries, such as film production and broadcast production. In contrast, whether you’re seeking a balance between power and energy efficiency, the Gemini 2x1 is a potent lighting tool.
Model | Max. Power |
P600Bi Hard | 700W |
Gemini 2x1 Hard | 500W |
4. Illuminance Data
Despite being capable of large-area light, the P600Bi can also deliver high intensity at close distances. At a distance of one metre, the P600Bi demonstrates its impressive capability by producing 93,800 Lux illuminance at 5600K. At 3200K, the P600Bi reaches a maximum output of 84900 Lux at one metre. In comparison, the Gemini 2x1 LED panel also provides substantial illuminance levels, with 207000 Lux at 5600K and 180000 Lux at 3200K at a one-meter distance.
While the Gemini Hard light offers higher Lux values at the same distance, the P600Bi Bi-colour LED panel’s performance is noteworthy and may still be sufficient for many professional applications. Therefore, whether shooting a feature film, documentary, or commercial, the P600Bi can help create captivating lighting and enhance production quality.

5. CRI and TLCI
The P600Bi Hard panel allows for smooth dimming in 0.1 percent increments and has CRI and TLCI ratings over 96, leading to more vibrant and lifelike imagery. It is crucial in professional settings where maintaining colour fidelity is imperative, such as in film and television production, photography, or any application where true-to-life colours are essential. In comparison, the LitePanel Gemini 2x1, offering commendable colour rendering, is designed with a slightly lower CRI and TLCI rating of 95. While these ratings are generally considered very good, the distinction becomes apparent when aiming for the highest levels of colour accuracy and consistency.
Users who prioritise precise colour reproduction might find the P600Bi Hard panel’s higher ratings advantageous for their specific needs. In practical terms, while the LitePanel Gemini 2x1 Hard Light remains a solid choice, the Godox P600Bi LED Panel stands out as a versatile and advanced lighting solution, particularly excelling in smooth dimming and high-colour accuracy.
