Godox Flash App FAQ
Find some of the most frequently asked questions about the Godox Flash App in this blog below:
Q: Do you have a guide on how to use the Godox Flash App?
Q: Can I fire remotely with the Flash App?
Unfortunately, you can't shoot remotely with the flash app or Bluetooth triggers.
The app only allows for you to control the trigger settings from your smartphone, and to shoot you will still need to trigger the camera's shutter directly.
Q: How do I change the decimal and step settings in the Godox Flash App?
These settings can be changed on the app by going into "Me" > "Settings".
Q: Why isn't my flash showing up?
If your flash isn't showing up on the list, it may be worth checking to ensure the flash firmware is updated, and that the app is fully updated too. If this doesn't help, you can try and find a similar available flash on the list as you should be able to control your flash through that setting.
Q: Does the Godox Flash App support the Godox X3 trigger?
The Godox X3 trigger does not have bluetooth functionality, which means that it won't work with the Flash App. We're not aware of any plans for Godox to release or update the X3 with bluetooth.
Q: Do I need the Godox Flash App for (Insert Lighting Model here)?
The Godox Flash App is designed to communicate with your flash trigger rather than your flash strobe directly.
Compatible flash trigger options that work with this include:
The PiXAPRO ST-IV+, PiXAPRO Pro ST-III+, Godox XPro II, Godox X2T.
