The New KNOWLED P1200R PRO vs the Original P1200R LED Panel

The newly announced P1200R PRO has entered the Godox KNOWLED professional lighting lineup as the upgraded model to the original P1200R Hard Light LED Panel! Though very similar, there are some important differences between the two. 

IP Rating

The key upgrade with the new P1200R Pro models is the new IP weather rating granted to it. While the original P1200R didn't have any Ingress Protections, the PRO model now has an IP65 rating, which certifies full dust ingress protection, as well as moderate-high water ingress protections proving support against rain and jets of water. This upgrade now means that you can use the PRO panels outdoors in tricky shooting environments, or on sets with water and rain without worrying.

TLCI Upgrade

Though a small upgrade, TLCI ratings can be super important to the right folk, so the upgrade from a 96+ TLCI rating to 98+ in the PRO model can make all the difference. 

Ethernet Control 

The new PRO model also now includes Ethernet Control for easy cabled connection, adding to an array of different control options. 

As a result of these upgrades as well as the construction upgrades to improve the on-set sturdiness, the PRO model weighs a an extra 3.5kg bringing it's total weight to 22kg. Find the full specifications comparison below including UK RRP Pricing (accurate at time of writing).
