Colour Temperature and Bi-Colour
Both units are both made by Godox and are both identical internally. This means that both TL will offer the same colour temperature colour range from 2700K to 6500K. From this feature, you are freely able to change from warm light to daylight. Unlike the other lights, the Godox TL tube light gives you a variety of options. If you choose the lower colour temperature (2700K) which is a considerable ‘warmer’ colour. Multiple Wireless Control
To quickly and easily adjust, they each feature a built-in multiple control method by directly using the control panel. Additionally, you can use the 2.4GHz wireless remote control via Bluetooth and also a smartphone app. With a range of around 30m, making it is ideal for adjusting your illumination without having to manually change the unit.
DMX Control

39 Lighting Effects
All four tube lights can be produced 39 lighting effects. It allows you to quickly replicate a variety of lighting conditions including police car lights, fire, candlelight, lighting, TV sets, fireworks and many more. Thanks to this feature, you can save time and money in post-production. As same with the manufacture by Godox, the TL series come with Bowens S-Type mount as standard using multiple different light modifiers.
Differences
Weight and Dimensions
One of the main differences between these units is their weight and size. Compared with the TL60 tube light which is lighter and smaller with Ø48mm 750mm of dimension and 730g of weight. The compact design also allows you to place the lighting unit in hard-to-reach areas. It is perfect for making sure your subject receives perfect light coverage. The T120 tube light is heavier and bigger to use with dimensions of Ø48mm 1170mm and a weight of 1.27kg. In contrast, the TL180 is the heaviest of the four lights at 2.21kg and 51 x 1800mm. And finally, the TL30 offers the lowest weight at 0.3kg with 42mm x 300mm.
Power
The main reason comes with the difference between these lights is the different power output provided. The innovation of each tube light also improved the power output. The TL180 is the most powerful of the four units offering the 55W, the TL120 is the next with a power output of 30W. Whereas, the T30 is the last on this list with only 8W. The power consumption of the T60 is slightly more than the T30 at 18W.
Brightness
Again, as with the previously mentioned lighting series, the different power output comes with the different brightness produced. When comparing the overall brightness of these lighting units at 1m, it is surprising, that the TL120 offers the lowest brightness of 678 Lux. Of course, the following brightness is the TL30 at 740 Lux. While the TL60 produced the highest brightness of these lighting units when measured at 1m is 1500 Lux.
Battery
Each lighting unit is a built-in different battery which also leads to the difference between them. The TL30 has a built-in 3.6V/2900mAh Lithium battery with a runtime of about 1 hour on maximum power. While the TL60 tube light has a built-in 14.4V/2600mAh Lithium battery with a runtime of about 2 hours on maximum power, making it ideal for long sessions. Moreover, the TL60 also includes a mains power adaptor allowing plugged in and used continuously. With the same mains power adapter but a different lithium battery at 14.4V/2600mAh with a runtime of approximately 160 minutes. It is quite similar to the TL120 at the runtime is approximately 150 minutes and built-in with 14.4V/5200mAh/74.88Wh.
