What Modifier Fitting Do I Need?
Modifier fittings may seem a little complicated, but they're actually more straightforward than you might think!
Your flash or LED head will, more than likely, have a specific fitting built into it which will allow you to attach a specific type of modifier such as a softbox or beauty dish. Follow our guide below so you know which modifier fitting to purchase for your lights.
You can find the fitting of the light you have by checking the listing and viewing the "specifications" tab. This may be listed as the "Accessory Mount" or "Fitting" etc.
The most popular modifier fittings we stock are:
Bowens S-Type:
The S2 Bowens Adapter Bracket, the AD600 with Bowens Fitting, and the Bowens S-Type Ring
Info: Fits most larger battery and studio flashes and LED heads with a simple slot and twist bracket design.
Compatible with: The AD600Pro, QT1200, MS200V, SK400, LA200D and many more.
Godox Fitting:
The ML60 LED and AD300Pro with Godox fittings, and the Godox Ring
Info: A mini Bowens-style fitting slot and twist bracket that works directly with mid-small sized flashes and LED heads.
Compatible with: The AD300Pro, ML60, ML100Bi etc.
Speedlite/BareBulb Fitting:
The V1 Pro Round Head speedlight, the V860 Rectangular traditional speedlite head, and an example of the clamp system fitting used for speedlite modifiers.
Info: Fits speedlight flashes by using a clamp system around the flash head for compatibility with a range of different sized and shape flash heads*. Generally used for flash exclusively and not LED.
Speedlite fittings can either be a fixed fitting (see the QuickBox softboxes with fixed bracket), or, can be a Bowens S-Type fitting modifier paired with an S2 bracket Bowens-to-Speedlite adapter to allow you to attach smaller flashes to the big modifier.
Compatible with: Speedlights like the V1, V860, and smaller flashes like the AD200Pro and AD100Pro.
*Some round-head speedlights such as the V1/V1Pro/V100 will have magnetic modifier mounts that allow for magnetic modifiers to clip directly to the head.
