The Godox GF14 (also known as a Flooter) is a G-Mount Large Round Fresnel Lens designed to focus and amplify light output by up to 19 times. Its adjustable beam angle allows you to create either a narrow spotlight or a wide flood of light, providing versatile lighting options. The wide-angle fresnel lens is ideal for cinematographers, independent filmmakers, and theatrical productions, as it effectively throws light over greater distances.
For enhanced light control, detachable barndoors (sold separately) help manage light spill and direction. The Godox GF14 round Fresnel lens is also perfect for still photography, particularly for commercial, advertising, and fashion photography, where precise lighting control is essential.
The Fresnel Lens (Pronounced Freh-Nel) is a special kind of lens, developed by French Physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel in the 19th century. Fresnel lenses consist of a succession of concentric rings etched into glass or plastic. These rings use a combination of total internal reflection and refraction, to focus the light, allowing it to travel over greater distances. Though the fresnel lens was originally designed for use in lighthouses, they have become a popular tool in the film, theatre, and photography industries. Especially if you need your lighting to travel over large distances.
The GF14 large round Fresnel lens enhances light output by up to 19 times, making it ideal for situations where your COB LED studio light needs to reach greater distances.
The GF14 wide-angle Fresnel lens offers an adjustable beam spread from 10° to 35°, allowing you to create either a small, controlled pool of light, to a flood of light in your scene.
The Godox GF14 round Fresnel lens has been put together with durability and robustness in mind. Made from high-quality materials, it has been designed to ensure that any light leaks are kept to a minimum and are rugged enough to endure professional use.
The GF14 wide-angle Fresnel lens uses the new Godox G-mount, which provides a larger and more durable connection compared to the standard Bowens S-Type mount. It also features electronic contacts, which lets the light what modifier is being connected to it. This enables the light to intelligently compensate for any slight colour shifts caused by the modifier, for consistent lighting no matter what modifier is being used.
It is a necessary tool for anyone that requires a focusable beam, with extra light intensity, or for their light to travel over greater distances. Perfect for cinematographers, independent filmmakers, or theatrical productions. It can also be used for still photography, especially for photographers working in commercials, advertising, and fashion photography.
